Bandhavgarh and Kanha national parks two of the most popular wildlife reserves, which receive a huge footfall. The latter one was the inspiration behind Rudyard Kipling’s famous children book, the Jungle Book. In the morning, get transferred to the airport to board a flight to Jabalpur. From here, head towards the very popular Bandhavgarh National park. The road journey is of around 4 hours. As you reach, complete the check-in formalities at a wildlife resort. The evening is at leisure. If time permits, an afternoon game safari by jeep can be planned.

The day is going to be filled with thrilling morning and afternoon wildlife safaris inside the park. Enjoy a ride in a shared jeep where you are going to be accompanied by a nature guide. Lying in the hilly north-eastern region of the Madhya Pradesh state, Bandhavgarh is the second largest one here. It was founded in the year 1968. Thick sal and bamboo jungles are enveloped by rugged hills and sharp cliffs. Once the favourite hunting lodge of the Maharaja of Rewa, this national park has a decent population of the Bengal tigers. Barking deer, sambar, deer, gaur, panther, nilgai, chital and gaur are other animals that can be spotted here. It is also a paradise for bird watching enthusiasts with colourful birds like various species of eagle, paradise flycatcher, orange-headed ground thrush, Malabar pied hornbill, green pigeon etc.

On this day, go for an early morning jeep safari ride for wildlife spotting. Thereafter, get transferred to Kanha, by road. This journey is going to be of around six and a half hours. Upon reaching, check into a wildlife safari. Kanha is one of the best national parks in Madhya Pradesh. It is also the inspiration behind the famous children book of Rudyard Kipling, the Jungle Book. The late afternoon is scheduled for a walking tour via the local nature trails. Soothe your eyes with the lush green surroundings.

The day is scheduled for early morning and afternoon wildlife safaris through jeep ride. Kanha National Park sprawls in an area of 2000 square kilometres that comprises of savannah grasslands, deciduous forests, rivers and hills. The park is home to around 230 species of birds and 22 species of mammals. It is known to be one of the best preserved wildlife reserves in Asia. The park is known to be housing a decent population of barasingha, along with other animals like wild boar, tiger, sloth boar, dhole, jackal, sambar, Indian fox etc. You can also enjoy bird watching here. Some of the popular avifauna species here are mynah birds, parakeets, flycatchers and Indian rollers.

In the morning, get an assisted transfer to Jabalpur airport to board a flight for Mumbai. After arrival, the rest of the day is at leisure. You are free to explore this metropolitan city on your own. The city has beaches, markets, caves, historical monuments and other attractions. After dinner, transfer to the airport.
