Day 2 of the golden Triangle with Dunes tour starts with a hearty breakfast. Thereafter, get ready for a sightseeing tour to Delhi. Start the tour with Lakshmi Narayan Temple, also known as Birla Mandir, adorned with lush gardens, fountains and carvings portraying events from Hindu mythology. From there, proceed to India Gate, a 42 m high war memorial that commemorates the valour of soldiers. Post this, get ready to explore Delhi built by British architect Edwin Lutyens, who is known for the iconic Parliament house. Next, sneak peek into insights of Old Delhi by visiting the Red Fort-UNESCO World heritage Site, once the pride of Mughals and Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India.
Other iconic monuments include Qutab Minar, a 73m high minaret of victory. The list of historical sites also include the Purana Qila (Old Fort) and Jantar Mantar. Humayun’s Tomb, another UNESCO World Heritage Site is a splendid garden tomb which is the first substantial example of the Mughal architecture in India. The last attraction of the day trip will be Raj Ghat. Nestled along the banks of river Yamuna, the memorial is dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi.
