Arrive at the railway station at 20:15 hours. Complete the check-in formalities. Traditional welcome with Indian traditions continued with drinks. Later, you are escorted to respected cabins. As guests relax, the train leaves for the next destination Sawai Madhopur.

The train arrives to Sawai Madhopur, popular for Ranthambore National Park. The former game sanctuary abounds in wildlife and mainly Royal Bengal Tigers. Have your breakfast and set out for the game drive.
Other than the majestic tigers, spot Nilgai Antelope, Chinkara Gazelles, Sambhar Deer, Chital, Leopard, Crocodile, Jungle Fowl, Quails, Partridges, Crested Serpent Eagle, Flycatchers, Woodpeckers, among others.
Return to the train for lunch and relax for a while. Later, proceed for a village tour and interact with locals. Hi-tea at the Sawai Madhopur Lodge, which served as a stately hunting ground for the erstwhile royal family of Jaipur.
Return to the train as it leaves for Agra. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
On the third day of the tour, the luxury train reaches the City of Taj, Agra. Have your breakfast on board and proceed to visit Taj Mahal. The white-marble mausoleum was built by Emperor Shah Jahan for his wife. It is the testimony of eternal love. The magnificent architecture makes its place in one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Lunch is arranged in a city hotel, after which you visit Itmad-ud-Daulah (also known as Baby Taj). Afterwards explore the popular Agra Fort, the former seat of Mughal Empire.
Later, shop in the local markets or opt for massages in a spa.
Return to the comforts of the luxury train and stay overnight.
The luxury train stations itself in the Pink City, the capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur. Once you have your breakfast, leave for Amer Fort. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is the star attraction in the city and one of the prominent Hill Forts of Rajasthan. The 17th century fort was built by Maharaja Man Singh and is an abode of treasures of Rajputana glory. Explore the other attractions of Jaipur. Hawa Mahal is an iconic spot, with intricately placed windows that look like a honeycomb. Jantar Mantar is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and houses world's largest stone sundial. Jal Mahal shines like a jewel in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake.
Lunch is to be arranged in a city hotel. After lunch, you can either indulge in a spa session in a city hotel or take a stroll in the colourful markets of Jaipur which are stocked with handicraft, paintings, bangles, traditional Indian attire and other knick-knacks.
Return to the comforts of your luxury train, have dinner and stay overnight as it leaves for the next destination Udaipur.
Today, the train arrives in the City of Lakes, Udaipur. Snuggled against the spectacular background of the Aravali Range and scintillating lakes, Udaipur is known as Venice of the East. Breakfast is served on board. Later, proceed for sightseeing. City Palace, the largest complex in Rajasthan has a Crystal Gallery housing many beautiful displays. Later, take a ferry on the Lake Pichola in order to reach Jagmandir Palace. The 17th century palace looks upon a brilliant view of the Aravalis. This is where lunch is to be served, accompanied with the taps of Tabla and rhythm of Jal Tarang. Return to Deccan Odyssey and relax for some time. After this, take a heritage-walk through the Old City of Jaipur.
Board the train in the evening. Dinner is served in the luxury train as the train leaves for Vadodara. Overnight stay on board.
Early in the morning arrive in the capital of Gaekwads, Vadodara. Have your breakfast and disembark for a visit to the Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site). The Islamic city in India belongs to the Pre-Mughal era and remains unchanged till date. Jami Masjid, is a unique blend of Hindu and Islamic architecture. Drive back to the train and savour leisurely lunch.
Later, visit Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum, which in the former days served as an educational institute for the children of royal households. Today, however it has turned into a treasure for an art-aficionado. Enjoy high-tea at the Laxmi Vilas Palace, also known as the current royal residence. Built in 1890, the palace is four times the size of Buckingham Palace. There also is a collection of old armoury and sculptures made of marble, terracotta and bronze. Treat your taste-buds with local delicacies and your eyes with the cultural show.
Return on board as the dinner gets served and the train chugs off for Aurangabad. Overnight stay on board.
The seventh day of the tour, the train arrives in Aurangabad, the Mughal city named after its Great Emperor Aurangzeb. The morning is to be spent at leisure, so enjoy an unhurried breakfast session. Deboard to embark on a scenic drive to Ellora Caves (UNESCO World Heritage Site). The 30 rock-cut shrines represent Hindu, Buddhist and Jain forms of art, dating back to 4th and 5th century AD.
Return to the comforts of the luxury train once you are done exploring. Enjoy sun-downer at Mumbai-Hi in the evening, followed by dinner. Overnight stay on board.
Indian Odyssey ends on the eighth day. The train stations at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway Station of Mumbai. After a leisurely breakfast on board, disembark and bid adieu to the Deccan Odyssey.
