Indian Holidays announces packages for England’s November cricket Tour of India . Yes, with an exciting season coming up, the two Test heavyweights are scheduled to duel for 4 Test matches beginning from 14th November, 2012. For what promises to be a Tour Extraordinaire, the itineraries scheduled by Indian Holidays make sure you make the best out of your 7 day tour.
The venues for the 4 tests are Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Kolkata and Nagpur. For much of the 7 day trip will be absorbed in watching the riveting contest between India and England, the penultimate day of the tour has been kept aside for the guests to indulge in some local sightseeing and shopping. Let’s look at some salient characteristics of each of the four packages:
1- First Test: 15-19 November, Ahmedabad
The inaugural Test is in Gandhi’s own state, Gujarat. You arrive a day earlier at the hotel and have a lavish spread of Indian and Continental cuisine in the hotel restaurant. Days 2-6 of your stay are devoted to visits to the Sardar Patel Stadium Motera, Ahmedabad. All transfers to and from the stadium are pre-arranged.
2- Second Test: 23-27 November, Mumbai
After being escorted from the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport to your hotel, you have the rest of the day to yourself. We advise visiting the Marine Drive at night. The next five days are spent watching the Second Test Match. On the seventh day of your trip, an excursion can be arranged to show you around the major tourist attractions of Mumbai.
3- Third Test: 5-9 December, Kolkata
The highlight of this tour is the visit to the imperious Eden Garden. Nothing can beat the sheer experience of watching a fascinating between bat and ball with 100,000 guests shouting their lungs out. After the five days are over, the last day is reserved for some local sightseeing.
4- Final Test: 13-17 December, Nagpur
After arriving a day early, have some rest or get going on a local expedition exploring the sights and sounds of the quaint Nagpur. Don’t be late because the next morning, after an early breakfast, you head straight to the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium where you are a privileged spectator to the fourth and final Test Match between India and England. The last day of the trip is again spent visiting local tourist attraction.
Please note that return airport and stadium transfers to and from your hotel are arranged by us. Get yourself a ticket because it is going to get really big this time. Bigger than the Ashes, perhaps?
